Intro to Medication Management [BETA]
Please note: Medication Management is a premium feature on Nurture that must be enabled for your agency.
The Medication Management feature is still in its beta phase. Changes to this article may be made at any time.
Medication Management on Nurture is a new feature designed to help with the daily tasks of reporting, tracking, recording medication related activities. This tutorial is designed to help caregivers gain a foundational understanding of Nurture's Medication Management feature.
Getting Started
You can find this feature on individual's profile. Find and click on the tab labelled "Medical".
The medication management feature has several components. You should see a side menu that has different functions - such as Medication Schedule, Medications, Medical Contacts etc.,
Medication Schedule
Giving Medications
In the Medication Schedule tab, scheduled medications are time sensitive and have a "Due" time as labelled below.
It's intended that you report live that a medication was given, as the time that the medication was given will be recorded immediately on Nurture.
Under the intended medication, select "Give"
When a medication has been successfully reported, a strikethrough on the time will appear and a log of the administration status will appear. (Example: Reported Given by Kishuan Espiritu at 2:39 PM)
Report Medications not given
The same applies for medications that are "Not given".
Under the intended medication, select "Not Given".
A "Reason Missed" dropdown will appear. Select the reason and click on "Save".
When a medication has been successfully reported, a strikethrough on the time will appear and a log of the administration status will appear. (Example: Reported Refused by Kishuan Espiritu at 2:40 PM)
PRN Medications
As PRN Medications are not scheduled, there is no "Due" time for these types of medications, and there isn't a way to report it as "Not given".
Instead, PRN medications are slightly more simple in design. They still appear in the medication schedule and have one simple option: "Give".
